thinkingCarp is pleased to announce a “Fish of the Month” competition. This competition will run each and every month, with the winner receiving a prize. The competition will work in this way:
A thread will be created in this section by a moderator for each new month.
Members are invited to post pictures of particularly good fish that they have caught in that month, together with a brief description of any notable features of its capture. Also, please state the date of capture.
At the end of each month a panel of site managers will judge all the entries, and declare the winner, who will then be sent the prize. Please Click here for more details.
Winners
October 2009
Started a 3 day session on Monday 5th and at 0130 on Tuesday 6th
October I get a screaming run. Fish takes me to the left and tangles
the line in an overhanging tree. I strip to the boxers and wade out
chest deep. Get the fish netted and find it to be a new PB of 27.12lb
Extremely satisfying as I had to actually work at catching the fish with the
preperation etc and even had this not been a PB it would have been my
favourite UK capture. it's a decent common, from a new water and it's
an absolute stunner, really dark and proportioned
Caught on a running rig with slack lines using Dynamite baits spicy Tuna and Chilli boilie tipped with fake corn
September 2009
